Welcome to COVA
The Conservatory of Vocal and Instrumental Arts is a public charter school situated on a beautiful, 11 acre campus in the Oakland Hills. The school serves families from Oakland, Berkeley, San Leandro, Hayward, Richmond, San Pablo, Castro Valley, the greater San Francisco Bay Area and from communities as far as Stockton and Sacramento. The only K-8 Performing Arts School in the San Francisco East Bay, COVA has a diverse student body with 235 bright and eager students.
COVA's academic curriculum builds a solid foundation for success in high school and college. Instruction focuses on individual stengths and accommodates both gifted individuals and students needing skill development.

The enrollment period for the following school year is November 1st - December 10th. Applications received after that are placed on a waiting list.
